What is a loyalty card? 

It is a swipe card given to you and other customers by a supermarket, or chain of stores and used as an incentive for you to build and record credit points. This is awarded for any money you spend in the stores. 

FlexKom International’s discount loyalty card is different. Flexkom has introduced a whole new concept in the discount loyalty card system. 

Instead of FlexKom's discount loyalty card being associated to one store, they have introduced a terminal, with cards, which will work in all stores. Customers can shop where they please and still get rewarded. 

Most stores usually offer customers discounts on products, give coupons, or points toward merchandise, or some other reward in exchange for your voluntary participation in their loyalty card program. 

FlexKom’s discount loyalty card system gives cash back to customers on their purchases, which is loaded onto their discount loyalty cards. The cash on the card can then be used at any FlexKom associated store to make other purchases. However, the card can only be used for shopping.

A secondary goal of a loyalty card program is to build repeat business by offering participating customers something that isn't available to non-participating customers. 

FlexKom has extended this idea to shops and non-participating shops.

Loyalty cards often resemble plastic credit cards but they can also be keychain fobs or stickers. Typically a loyalty card has a barcode, or magnetic stripe that's scanned at the Point of Sale (POS ). 

FlexKom’s discount loyalty card is unique in that they use a QR (Quick Response) code on theirs and have a terminal that reads it.

All loyalty cards gather data about their customers and let the merchants know what they buy, when they buy it, why they buy it and what else they want to buy. The loyalty card identifies the customer and sends information about what the customer bought to a database. The information in the database is used to help the retailer understand and possibly influence his customers' future purchases.
